Rumors

Written by Neil Simon

Sneden's Landing, 1988. At a large, tastefully-appointed townhouse in Palisades (north of New York City), the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples gathered for a dinner party at his home are about to experience a severe attack . . . of farce!

Having invited a motley crew of familiars together for their tenth wedding anniversary dinner, the Deputy Mayor now lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. The host's lawyer Ken and Ken's wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity!

An enjoyable romp that has been staged countless times all over the country, Rumors is one of Neil Simon's most celebrated comedies!

Enchanted April

England, 1922. The country is still reeling from the effects and collective losses of World War I.

Feeling forgotten and lost in the shadows of marriage, two London housewives pool their savings to rent a villa in Italy for the month of April — an idyllic spot "for those who appreciate wisteria and sunshine" — as a chance to escape their own downtrodden existences on a ladies-only holiday away . . . reluctantly also recruiting a pair of difficult upper-class women to share the cost and the experience.

Together under the Mediterranean sun, the four women clash at first, then begin to bond and bloom as sun-drenched San Salvatore works its magic on each sad and hardened heart, healing grief and bringing hope . . . and with the arrival of two chastened husbands and one attractive young artist, romance begins to bloom once again for all.

Based on Elizabeth Von Arnim’s beloved novel, Matthew Barber’s Enchanted April is a gentle and romantic comedy which offers a necessary balm of sunshine and renewal to both characters and viewers alike.

Play It Again, Sam

Written by Woody Allen

Allan Felix has this thing about Humphrey Bogart. If only he had some of Bogart’s technique . . .

The recently-divorced young Allan is bookish and insecure with women. Luckily his hero "Bogey" comes to the rescue with a fantastic bevy of beauties played out in hilarious fantasy sequences.

In the real world, fixed up by friends with gorgeous women, Allan is so awkward that even Bogey's patience is tried. Allan mostly resembles a disheveled, friendly dog . . . and this is what ultimately charms his best friend's wife Linda into bed.

It's a tough life, making it in the world of beautiful people, but if you can't be a hero, it helps to have one!

Responsive example Class control

You can tell Responsive what columns to want to be visible on different devices through the use of class names on the columns. The breakpoints are horizontal screen resolutions and the defaults are set for common devices:

  • desktop x >= 1024px
  • tablet-l (landscape) 768 <= x < 1024
  • tablet-p (portrait) 480 <= x < 768
  • mobile-l (landscape) 320 <= x < 480
  • mobile-p (portrait) x < 320

You may leave the -[lp] option from the end if you wish to just target all tablet or mobile devices. Additionally to may add min-, max- or not- as a prefix to the class name to perform logic operations. For example not-mobile would cause a column to appear as visible on desktop and tablet devices, while min-tablet-l would require at least a horizontal width of 768 for the browser window to be shown, and be shown at all sizes larger.

Additionally, there are three special class names:

  • all - Always display
  • none - Don't display as a column, but show in the child row
  • never - Never display
